St Augustine said, “He who sings, prays twice.”
Making music and listening to music are, for many of us, intrinsic parts of our spiritual life. Perhaps unsurprisingly therefore, music plays a central part in the life of St Paul’s Knightsbridge.
At the main Sunday masses and for our many special services, our resident musicians offer a varied and imaginative programme of music, with repertoire spanning the centuries of Western Church music.
We are also committed to new music, to commissioning, and to encouraging the use of the church for the performance of music. Among other groups, the BBC Singers regularly record and broadcast from St Paul’s.
St Paul’s Knightsbridge is grateful to The Berkeley for its generous and neighbourly support of the music.
